David Stamps is a Masters Degree candidate in Mass Communications at California State University, Northridge. He is a Pearl S. Simmons Scholar, Graduate Equity Fellow, and a finalist for the California Trustee Award. His research interests include exploring the social constructs created within media of marginalized groups and the intersections of class and race with regards to activism and social standing. He has presented at several conferences including the Broadcast Education Association conference, California State Research and Creative Works Symposium, and Mid-Atlantic Popular and American Culture conference.
